Kathleen, "Kat", became interested in the paranormal in her early years. She looked at the world in a different way after her grandmother advised her 'It's not the dead you should be afraid of, it's the living you need to watch out for'. Kat officially began investigating the paranormal with her husband, Mike, as a team of two before joining the group.

Kat's most profound paranormal experience to date was discovering her first EVP in audio she recorded at one of her favorite cemeteries. Kat explains, "My

husband and I were investigating a smaller cemetery a few miles from where we live. We had been out there a couple of times previously and experienced some interesting things, but nothing we could count as evidence. On a later visit, it didn't seem the same as it had been before so we called it a night and went home. While we were reviewing our audio, we were amazed when we got to this one section. We were talking about leaving. There was a pause and then you clearly hear a male voice say, 'Who are they?' in a drawn out whisper. You can then hear me say 'hmm' as if something had registered with me on some level. The male voice wasn't a normal voice. It sounded 'otherworldly' somehow. That voice still haunts me in the best way. That was a few years ago and it still amazes me whenever I listen to it. I cannot describe how it felt to realize that something we could not see was out there with us and wondered who we were. It really put things into perspective for me. To this day, whenever I am doing EVP work, I always introduce myself before I start asking any questions."

Since discovering her first EVP, Kat wants to understand how this phenomenon occurs scientifically, and also how to better communicate with the voices she records. Kat seeks to answer questions she has had for years and her thirst for knowledge grows with every investigation.

Kat studied organic chemistry and biology at Georgia State University. She is currently finishing a degree in Environmental Management at Columbia Southern University. Kat loves animals and spending time in nature.
